The technology behind Equi-Safe^® was developed in Europe over 20 years ago with the simple goal of creating a maintenance-free horse fence that would, by its unique design, minimize potential injury to the horse, and due to its attractive appearance, enhance property value. 

AVCON Inc, the parent company of Equi-Safe^®, recognized a need in the US equine fencing world for a product that combined the strength and durability of HDPE, with a unique electric fence component built in, and brought Equi-Safe^® horse fence to the United States in 2003.

Equi-Safe^® horse fence is a product unlike anything we've seen in the US until now. It is unbreakable, environmentally friendly, safe, weather resistant and economical.  Equi-Safe^® was originally, and continues to be, manufactured at our facility in Lakewood, NJ. As a result, word about this unique equine fencing system initially began to spread throughout the Northeast. Today, Equi-Safe^® fences can be found across the country, from Maine to Hawaii, as well as in Europe and Australia.
